Deja Vu Hole-In-One for Terry
Terry Bonner scores his 2nd HIO at the 2nd on 9/8/25 in Rd 7 of Captain's Player of the Year
In his own words:

We were at the 2nd hole off the White Tees. Chris Smith measured the distance to the pin at 192 yards, and so I said, “That's the exact same yardage when I had a Hole-in-One from this Tee 10 years ago”.

The pin was back-left behind the left-side bunkers, so I took a 6-iron and played it up the right side, letting the right-to-left wind take it in. It pitched on the front of the green and continued curving left around the bunkers. It went out of sight, as we couldn’t see the bottom of the pin due to the mounding around the bunkers. Chris laughed and said “You might have done it again!”

As we walked up, there were two balls on the green pin-high to the right of the pin, at around 15 and 20 feet. But Chris and Paul McNulty had also hit good shots. So I checked the 15-foot one and it wasn’t mine. I’d walked up the left side of the hole so knew mine hadn’t run off the left or back of the green.

I decided to check the hole - ready to handle the probable derision and ridicule from my playing partners Chris, Paul and Sean Heron. But before they could react, I saw my ball with my usual Royal Blue dot under the makers name and exclaimed “I don’t believe it, that’s incredible!”

Same hole, exact same yardage, 10 years apart. But last time I was a bit younger, so it was a 7-iron then!"

Congratulations (again) Terry.
