On Thursday, around 40 of the Seniors headed to Astbury, near Congleton for the annual Seniors Away Day. Despite the odd short shower, the weather was great and the course provided plenty of challenges. The obligatory putting comp before the main event was a pre-cursor of what was to come. Kevin Turner won the putting comp which included two hole in ones. He then shot a 37 point round to claim first prize in the main event with young Brian Kelly in second place with 36 pts and Geoff Allan in third with 35 points. The on course prizes went to Alan Calvert for Nearest the Pin and Don boom boom Milligan for the longest drive.
