Ladies v The Leicestershire
Thursday 14th August
There was some impressive golf played, including a higher handicap Leicestershire lady hitting her second shot over the back of the green on the 8th hole! Janette Watson and Margaret Norris won 7 and 6, Amanda Morgan and Janet Solla 3 and 2, Angela Austin and Lyn Sharman 1 up, and Madeline Ellis and Jayne Harris also 1 up.
Jayne stood in for an injured player at the last minute – she was already on the course playing with the Thursday ladies – Thank you Jayne.
The weather was kind and The Leicestershire ladies captain and team complimented the work of the greenkeepers and the greens, were impressed by the hospitality team and the cream teas enjoyed afterwards.
Judging by the chatter and laughing in the clubhouse afterwards everyone had a good time, our visitors left with a great impression of Longcliffe hospitality and have already forwarded a date for the return match next year.
