Club News Update – WHS Course Rating Changes

We would like to inform all members of an important update regarding the WHS Course Rating and Slope information at Wheatley Golf Club.

Following a recent review of the handicap tables, we have identified that new WHS Course Ratings and Slope Ratings came into effect from midnight on Sunday 17th August, with no prior communication or notification received from either England Golf or the Yorkshire Golf Union.

WHS Changes Effective from 18th August 2025

These adjustments may affect your Course Handicap calculations, so please take note of the new ratings when preparing to play or enter competitions.

Gents | White Tees
• Previous: Course Rating 71.3 | Par 71 | Slope 126
• New: Course Rating 71.8 | Par 71 | Slope 131

Gents | Yellow Tees
• Previous: Course Rating 70.3 | Par 71 | Slope 124
• New: Course Rating 71.0 | Par 71 | Slope 129

Gents | Green Tees
• Previous: Course Rating 69.4 | Par 71 | Slope 121
• New: Course Rating 70.0 | Par 71 | Slope 126

Gents | Winter Tees
• Previous: Course Rating 68.2 | Par 69 | Slope 118

Ladies | Red Tees
• No change: Course Rating 74.5 | Par 74 | Slope 139

We are currently seeking clarification from the relevant authorities to better understand the timing and nature of these changes, and we will update members as more information becomes available.

Updated course rating and slope information will be made available on the Club V1 Members App, the official club website, and posted within the locker rooms.
