Hemmingway Final 2025
Richard Hayes and Andy Coutts - 2025 Hemmingway Trophy winners.
The 36 hole foursomes Hemmingway final was contested between pairings of Andy Coutts/Richard Hayes and David Smith/Ian Scott. The match was a real competitive roller coaster with very few holes halved. Andy and Richard took an early 2 hole lead but were soon pulled back by David and Ian who continued to apply pressure to take a two shot lead into the second 18 holes. Richard and Andy fought back to level after 21 holes but David and Ian pulled away to take a 3 hole lead by the 30th hole. Richard and Andy rallied back taking the next 4 holes including a great birdie on the 34th hole. A halved 35 hole and a win on the 36th saw Richard and Andy claim a 2 up victory.
