All three players played their best golf on the front nine but Alan's birdie two at 15 proved crucial in giving him the edge to win the competition.
Chris found trouble at 11 carding a seven and a further double at 13 dented his chances.
Gordon also found trouble at the business end with doubles at 16 and 17 proving costly when looking a likely winner.
In the Scratch competition Jamie Groom took the honours with a very steady par round of 71 (37+34) which included three birdies at 9, 11 and 14 finishing one shot ahead of Karl Conway on 72 (39+33).
Karl will be disappointed with his front nine 3 over par after a great birdie start to his round and did well to get back in contention with three birdies in the back nine but just fell short.
Leigh Connor (38+37) just pipped Sid Curran (37+38) for third spot by way of better inward half, both shooting 75's. Both players left a couple out there and Sid's double at 15 and bogey finish meant he just missed out on the prize money.
Alan and Jamie each win £50 in Crown Restaurant vouchers plus £25 in their sweep and Alan also picks up £11.50 in the two's sweep.
Chris and Karl both win a Bottle of Spirit as well as a sleeve of golf balls for their birdie two's at the third hole.
Gordon and Leigh win a case of beer /two bottles of wine for their third places and Gordon also wins a sleeve of golf balls for his birdie two at Hole 3.
Six players took a share of the two's pot winning £13.50 each . Well done to Alan Brown, Colin Hume, Brian Rooney, Stewart McKay, Mark Littlejohn and Mark Wardrop. (Mark Stanton was originally included in error - Mark is not a sweep particpant).
Five players win a sleeve of golf balls for their birdies at Hole 3 - Gordon Munro, Brian Lee, Willie Heeps, Karl Conway and Chris Johnston.
A wee mention for Phil Kilkenny who had a fantastic eagle 3 at the 4th hole.
Delighted to announce that 65 birdies were achieved overall generating £325 for our nominated charity Simon Community Scotland. Well done all.
Thanks to all 102 competitors for taking part today and as always to our greenkeeping team for preparing the course to the usual high standard.
