One Eyed Birdie
Ladies win the “One Eyed Birdie”
On Friday 10th October the ladies played the second leg of this competition against the Seniors. Having played the first leg in April the Ladies were 7 back, so all was to play for. This competition has been running for a huge number of years and is one of our traditions we all love.
Thankfully we are still having a mild Autumn and so it was a benign day which was a huge help. The course played beautifully.
5 teams went out and battled hard and that was just the banter! We always enjoy these matches as they are played with friendship and are lots of fun.
We all came in to have a nice lunch to conclude the matches.
I am delighted to say the ladies won by 4 points and have taken the trophy, which we have not won in many years!
