Mats From Fairways
From Monday 3rd November we will move to playing from mats when on the fairway.
Players will have the alternative option of moving their ball from the fairway into the first cut of rough, nearest side no nearer the hole, and play from there.
We would ask players to still make use of the divot bags to fill divots made in the rough. Please replace your divot if it is whole enough to be placed back in the mark.
The condition of the first cut will be monitored and if it’s felt there are excessive unfilled divots, a decision may be taken to revert to the use of mats in all areas.
