The club had a great turnout of players for the Autumn Family Texas Scramble on Saturday 25 October, with 44 players entering the fun 9 hole competition in blustery conditions.

But the weather did not deter our ambitious junior golfers who teamed up with their parents, siblings and friends. Some were golfers and some were not! Hence the requirement for a minimum of one drive for each member of the team.

Congratulations to brothers Gilly, Leo with dad Craig Woolnough and Frankie Waller, the winners with a brilliant 19.8 points. In second place with 21.5 points was our Club Captain David Mills with his grandson Tommy with Elliot and his brother Harrison Young, our Junior Vice Captain.

Well done Leo Woolnough for nearest the pin on hole 4 and Patrick Greaney for nearest the pin in two on hole 9.

My thanks to Debbie Jary for ball spotting and good company also, Marie Norman for always being there. Also to Bob and Oli in the pro shop for making sure that I get it right.

A huge thanks to our supporters for making this another special day when we can celebrate our superb junior section.
