Grouville Hall Challenge Cup
Excellent scoring in windy conditions
The latest competition of the autumn/winter series of Sunday shotgun greensomes took place yesterday in very sunny but windy conditions. The players taking part certainly made the most of the bright day as scoring was very competitive.
Winning the trophy with 42 stableford points, off their combined handicap of 15, were Andy Muir and Tom Muir. They were very consistent with 22 points on the front nine and 20 on the back, winning on a back 9 countback.
Runners-up on countback were Aston Goode and Julian Bratley with 42 points, edging out Wayne Gallichan and Danny Wherry also on 42 points into third place.
