The club continues to be busy despite the darker nights and colder days. Membership enquiries continue to flood in and for the first time ever I'm now quoting a two year wait rather than just the one!
The course still looks and is playing well despite putting on it's winter cloak.
Leaves are an issue for our green keepers as are the worms at this time of year.
On average, compared to summer months, it takes 2 hours longer each and every morning to clear the leaves, 'swish' away the worm casts and the cut the greens, therefore if you are an early morning golfer, please be patient with the team on the course.
The new green keepers building is under construction, the foundations are in, the steel structure will be delivered toward the end of the week and erection should commence Monday / Tuesday next week.
While the building is being constructed, vans, lorries and contractors will be very close to the side of the driving range, therefore the driving range will be closed when necessary, simply for health and safety reasons during working hours.
Please use your own balls on the grass range, repairing your divots when finished...
The Champion of Champions is set to be played on the morning of the end of season presentation, Saturday 22nd November. Due to roughly only 60 players being able to compete it's unfair to close the course for a shotgun start, so we will revert to tee times between 07:45 and 10:15.
The end of season presentation night has had a great response from members, thank you very much. We have just short of 150 people attending which should make for a fantastic evening. We will be sending final details of the evening, including the menu, seating arrangements and auction items (open to bidding from all members, attending or not) in the coming days.
HDID
The new HowDidiDo app is nearly here:
Soon, you’ll have access to a brand-new version of HowDidiDo: bringing together all the features from both HowDidiDo and ClubV1 Members Hub into a single, seamless user experience.
Why this change?
Our mobile app and website has become outdated and tired in recent years, with a much-needed re-design being at the top of our to-do list.
As well as this, since the introduction of the World Handicap System (WHS), the majority of golf club members and golf clubs have been asked to adopt multiple member apps, including: HowDidiDo, ClubV1 Members Hub, and igMember.
We are now proud to announce that we are bringing these three industry-leading apps together, creating a more powerful, more unified system, designed to make life easier for your club and your members.
Keep an eye on your inbox over the coming weeks, as we’ll be sharing more of the new platform and how to get setup.
