Greens update
Threat of Disease
The current climatic conditions are presenting significant challenges for the golf course in several areas - not least the relentless rainfall we are experiencing.

Many of you will remember the Fusarium outbreak we experienced in early December 2024, and unfortunately, similar disease pressure is being experienced and remains exceptionally high at the moment. Our greens were treated with a fungicide 2 weeks ago and now urgently require a follow-up application. For the treatment to be fully effective, it must be applied to dry leaf surfaces, with no rainfall for at least an hour afterward - and finding such a weather window is proving quite difficult.

Following treatment, the greens will not be cut the next day. We apologise in advance if this results in a slightly slower or "woolly" putting surface. Please be assured that our greenkeeping team are doing everything possible to maintain the high-quality greens we all enjoy.

Nature has a way of testing us - often when we least expect it!

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
