Richmond Calling!
The rescheduled Stage Show 2025 - Richmond Calling - had its glorious run (a dress rehearsal on Friday followed by the real deal on Saturday) to a packed house. From my viewpoint in the wings and in the finale, the show was a resounding success. The Stage displayed their considerable talents, and also what makes them so special: from the sketches to the acting to the antlers to the dual-personality conversation to the singing to the kitsch to the send-ups of both The Captain and The Lady Captain (sorry Lucia, I think I got off lightly this year!) to the wonderful video clips of Jeremy the Mower and the Halfway Hut and the rooftop tribute to King Charles … an amazing showcase of talent and a testament to the special things that happen when you walk through the archway.
