Staff Christmas Gratuity Appeal
A heartfelt request from the Captain
As Captain of our great club, I am writing to ask you all to once again contribute to this very important fund.
From Les and his Greens Team to Chef Andrew and the Kitchen Crew, and from Tony & Jamie in the Clubhouse to the lovely ladies in the Admin Office, every member of our staff team works tirelessly toward providing the best possible Member experience for us. Therefore, as Members, it is only right that we show our appreciation to them. The Management Committee previously agreed that our staff may be better served by receiving their gratuity from the Members before Christmas rather than in February when it had historically been paid. I therefore ask that if you are intending to contribute to the fund, that you do so at your earliest convenience.
Last year only 33% of Members contributed and I am hoping that we can increase this percentage and show our appreciation for our staff, who are such a vital part of our Club.
The contributions you make will be shared amongst our staff alongside their December salaries and will provide, in a very tangible way, a meaningful payment to staff in time for Christmas. I therefore ask you to give generously to this appeal as I know it will be appreciated, and won’t it be gratifying to show that we care just as much as they do!
