Temporary Course Changes and Access
Please Read
Dear Member,

Following our recent course walk and discussion with our contractors, we will be making some temporary changes to the course layout and access routes over the coming weeks to protect the course and ensure everyone’s safety.

Holes 12 & 13 – Temporary Closure and Routing
Access to the 12th tee is currently compromised following the recent drainage work.
To avoid further damage to the area to the right of the 11th green, holes 12 and 13 will be closed for the coming weeks.
The course will therefore operate as a 16-hole layout during this period.
Our aim is to create a matted walkway through the affected area; if this proves workable and the ground recovers, we will look to reopen holes 12 and 13 as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.

Temporary Changes to the 14th Hole
The 14th hole will be played as a 150-yard par 3 from a temporary teeing area on the fairway.
Golfers will be routed back through the trees from the 11th green to reach this temporary tee.
Please follow all signage and any instructions from staff when moving between holes.

Protection Around the 11th Green
The area by the oak trees on the 11th has been roped off.
Buggies and trolleys must not pass near the 11th green in this area – please respect all ropes and markers to help protect the turf while it recovers.

Course Status & Buggy Use
The course status will remain at 2a, with 16 holes in play (holes 12 & 13 closed).
Buggies are permitted only on holes 9–18 (excluding 12 & 13).
Please continue to follow all buggy routes and any on-the-day instructions from the Pro Shop.

Contractor Works – This Week
Tuesday

Work will be carried out on the 15th bridge, 16th tee and 17th tee.
For this day only, the orange and blue tees on the 15th will be located on the green side of the ditch for contractor safety. Please use the temporary tee markers in place.

Wednesday

Work will take place on the 3rd bridge crossing.
For this day only, holes 2 and 3 will be closed. Golfers will play from the 1st green directly to the 4th tee.
Holes 2 and 3 will reopen from Thursday.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while these essential works are completed. They are designed to improve course conditions and access in the long term, and your support in following the temporary measures will help the course recover more quickly.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office or Pro Shop.

Kind regards,
Philip Beard
