As we exit ‘Prizegiving’ season and move towards Christmas, here is a brief summary of the main points of recent events.
Firstly, congratulations to all prize winners throughout the club. Well done on a successful golfing season!

Gents Prize Giving
The pro shop accounts of prize winners have been credited. Thanks to everyone who attended, enjoying dinner provided by Fairways Bistro and entertainment from Brian Bianchi. We’re grateful to Club President Jim Lewis for presenting the prizes and everyone involved with organising and running the event.

Ladies Prize Giving
Successfully re-arranged at late notice to be held at the Georgian Hotel, special thanks to those involved in organising the event under huge pressure!

Junior Prize Giving
A well-attended event with many different winners, demonstrating the breadth and strength of our Junior Section. Thanks to Junior Convenor Peter Russell and his team including Ian Telford, Robert Peat, Calum Watson, Junior Captain Kyle Caskey & Junior Vice-Captain Taylor Smyth for a fine season. Ellie McManus and Daniel McLean have been invited to be 2026 Junior Captain and Junior Vice-Captain respectively.

Finally, my personal thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the Live Music event on Saturday 22nd. A most enjoyable night was had by all, raising £490 for Reeltime Music. I’m grateful to the musicians who all performed free of charge.
