Historic 25 year lease signed today.
We have today concluded missives on a 25 year lease of the course from South Lanarkshire Council. This concludes an 18-month process.

A lot of effort has gone into this process and is now legally binding with a launch date of Sunday Feb 1st, 2026.

For the historians of club, you will know the club tried to take on the running of the course in both 1981 and 1996, but the council held onto control of the course. We recognised then and now the huge value Hollandbush can provide to the local community and we have within our gift the opportunity to grow and improve it.

We have done a lot of work getting it to here and have a lot to do. We have raised over £250k in grant funds to purchase the capital equipment to run the course, and with Ryan coming on board as our head greenkeeper we are excited with his plans for the course.

Our big focus now is on membership numbers and green fee income for season 26-27 which will be hugely important in maintaining the course and club as going concerns. There will now be a concerted marketing campaign ahead of Feb 1st, where we hope to retain and grow our membership base and work with all of you to grow a great club and course.

Hollandbush is a member led course that will invest every penny back to create a great asset and support the community in as many ways that we can.

Jim Hamilton and the founder members never saw the transfer and running of the course in their lifetimes, but I am sure they will be looking down with pride on today's outcome as another step in the Hollandbush journey.

Onwards.
