Guests enjoyed a fabulous meal in a warm and convivial setting, followed by heartfelt thanks from our Captain and Vice-Captain, who expressed their appreciation to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who attended, helping to make the evening so special.
Following dinner, celebrations moved upstairs to the Kelvin Suite where the night truly came alive. Revellers were entertained by the wonderful Alasdair MacCuish Ceilidh Band, who provided a perfect mix of traditional ceilidh tunes and dances alongside contemporary hits. The dance floor was busy throughout, with guests of all ages joining in and thoroughly enjoying the lively atmosphere.
As the bells approached, champagne was served and everyone gathered together as the countdown to 2026 commenced. New Year arrived in true style, with cheers, laughter and celebrations ringing through Killermont House. The festivities continued well into the wee small hours, with the dance floor remaining full and the atmosphere as lively as ever.
In due course, the fleet of pre-arranged taxis arrived and it was time for guests to head home, nursing sore feet and perhaps the odd hangover, but far outweighed by the fabulous memories of a great night. Sincere thanks go to all the staff for their hard work and professionalism throughout the evening, to our piper Donald, and to the amazing band who kept toes tapping into the wee small hours. A truly memorable first Hogmanay event and one that has set a very high standard for future New Year celebrations at the Club.
