Knockouts, Course Information & Club Matches
Dear Member,
Please find below the latest course and competition update from the Handicap & Competitions Committee.
Men’s Tuesday 10 Hole Competition 13/01/2026
Due to the weather and course conditions, there were insufficient entries to make this competition viable. The competition has been voided and any member who signed into this competition has had their entry fee refunded to their Gold Card Account.
The Green’s Committee have advised us that with effect from 21st January 2026, the course in play will be the Long Blue Course. All competitions from that date until further notice will be played utilising the Blue course stroke indices and shot allowances. The Tuesday Men's Competition which is currently giving a 75% playing handicap allowance will revert to a playing handicap allowance of 95%
The 2026 Lee Park Knockout Competitions will open for entry at 2100 today 15th January 2026 and will remain open for entry until Midnight on Sunday, 15th March 2026. The draw and play-by dates will be released by email and be available on V1 the following week.
Please see below the entry requirements for the 2026 knockouts. These requirements will be strictly upheld to ensure the integrity of these competitions:
1. Entrants MUST have played in at least 5 qualifying Lee Park Competitions in 2025. Digital scorecards and general play cards are not acceptable for this criteria.
2. Entrants MUST have their contact details visible in the V1 or HDID app. This allows opponents the ability to contact each other to arrange ties.
3. New members to Lee Park may enter the knockout competitions at the discretion of the Competitions’ Committee if they have brought an acceptable playing record for 2025 from another club.
4. ALL FINALS WILL BE PLAYED ON FINALS DAY which is scheduled for Sunday, 6th September 2026. If you find that you are unavailable on this date for ANY reason, please withdraw from the competition to allow those who available to progress. The only reason that the Committee will accept for a finalist not playing their final on Finals Day is if a member progresses to more than one Final. There are no exceptions whatsoever.
As the new Howdidido app is currently not displaying members contact details, please continue to use V1 in conjunction with HDID until all glitches on the new app have been remedied.
Club Matches
We are looking for a team of 3 young adults (No older than 30 on 1st April 2026) to represent Lee Park in the Bill Renison Trophy. This is a stableford event which will take place on Sunday 7th June 2026 at Huyton & Prescot GC. If you are interested in representing Lee Park, please let us know as soon as possible as entry closes on 31/01/26.
Our mixed annual inter-club match versus Maesdu (Llandudno) is away at Maesdu this year. The match will be played on a Sunday in May or June. The only cost of the day will be for food. If you are interested in playing in this fun fixture, please let us know by email and we will contact you with full details nearer the time. If applications to play are over-subscribed, priority will be given to those who have supported this fixture in the past.
