Will the rain ever stop?
New water feature on the 11th
Despite the ridiculous weather, Newks and his team have been grafting trying to get the course playable...

They are severely constrained by the fact that they cant take any machinery on the course, for obvious reasons, so everything is being done manually - this includes hand cutting greens, forking damp patches, clearing out drains (repeatedly), spraying course treatments and repairing bird damage (they are enjoying themselves right now!).

The team have also completed a lot of clearance by the first tee - the aim is to populate the cleared areas with heather and fescue when the weather permits

Newks says that he has 20 tons of sand that is destined for the bunkers but this activity cant take place until the boys can get the heavy machinery onto the course.

Lets hope that their hard work pays off and we can get back out playing very soon
