What's been happening
Dear member

It's been a testing few weeks weather wise, the regular un-forecasted overnight down pours have certainly kept the green keepers guessing. That said, the 12 hole course has at least kept us golfing when several other courses have been closed.

It's been nice to get back on all 18 holes this week, the sun peaked out and we've even spotted a few short sleeve shirts paired with shorts... Perhaps a little too early for that, but who am I to judge.

Thank you to all of you that have carried during this time, it makes a huge difference to the course especially around the hard wear and wet areas. The greens and tees were hand cut this week and the greens have also had a roll so they should be putting nicely in the coming days. Just to temper expectations, we will not be moving back onto the grass tees for at least two or three weeks.

You might notice that some trees have been cleared near the chipping green, this is to allow for an expansion of the car park.

I'm pleased to report that we will have a new expanded buggy fleet for the season. We have operated with 6 electric buggies and 2 petrol buggies for several years now.
As of April / May we will have 5 brand new lithium electric buggies and 5 new (to us) petrol buggies, plus we will keep two of our older ones for back up purposes. The petrol buggies are necessary in the evenings once the shop has closed, users can simply park them up in the designated area and walk away, where as the electric ones need to be placed on charge ready for the next day which we quite rightly can't expect customers to do.

Memberships have been flooding in, thank you to everyone that's settled thier bill already, it allows us to budget with more confidence. Please be reminded that membership fees are due by Saturday 28th February. Payments can be made by BACS, Credit cards or Debit cards either in person or over the phone.
If you need to discuss your membership, please contact me or Gemma in the office asap.
