This year, our Captain has chosen an incredibly special cause — helping to raise £28,000 to purchase a ParaGolfer.

A ParaGolfer is a specialist all-terrain golf buggy that enables paraplegic and disabled golfers to play independently, allowing them to stand, drive, and play the game with freedom and dignity.

The campaign was inspired by the fantastic Lancashire Golf Disability Golf Event hosted at our club last September, where we saw first-hand just how life-changing this equipment can be.

This is also deeply personal to us. One of our own members, following a life-changing skiing accident, now needs a ParaGolfer to return to the game he loves. But this isn’t just about one person — the ParaGolfer will be available to disabled golfers from across the region, helping make our club truly inclusive.

Over the coming months, we’ll be hosting fundraising events, competitions and challenges to help us reach our target — and we’d love your support.
