Freda Newlove Seniors 9 Hole Winter Trophy
At the final Seniors talk of the close season we were pleased to present the Freda Newlove Trophy and Prize for the player scoring the best four cumulative total scores of the Winter Seniors 9 Hole Competitions (normally out of 6 but, this time, only 5 played due to the adverse weather conditions!). This year it went to the wire with Eddie Higgins scoring 82 points and Richard Dean only one point behind on 81 despite having been in the lead throughout!
Congratulations to Eddie who we hope enjoys his prize of Champagne Afternoon Tea for Two in the Sky Bar, Beetham Tower in the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester. Commiserations to Richard; better luck next year by when, hopefully, you will be playing with a new knee??!!
