Naomi Pilmer and Dave Jewell headed to Spain to compete in the MatchplayGolf.com Mixed Pairs
We’ve had even more Links members representing the club on the world stage this month, as Naomi Pilmer and Dave Jewell headed to Spain to compete in the @matchplay_golf Mixed Pairs.
After qualifying back in October 2025, they battled through five knockout rounds and claimed victory in the regional final at Collingtree Park to book their place in the finals. Five nights, four rounds, and a stunning setting at Barcelo Montecastillo Gold Resort with MatchplayGolf.com set the stage for an unforgettable experience.
In Monday’s final, they faced a tough match against Murray Cook and Susanna Gillet (Fulwell GC). After going 4 down with just 6 holes to play, Naomi and Dave showed incredible grit—fighting back to all square on the 18th and taking it to a sudden death playoff on the 19th. A tense finish with no shots given… and although they narrowly lost the playoff, they gave a brilliant account of themselves !!
