I wanted to provide a quick update following a number of recent enquiries regarding the condition of the paths on the course.
Around two weeks ago, we hired in a specialist pathway rotovator with the aim of improving the existing surfaces. The process involved breaking up and re-levelling the paths to address potholes and general wear, ahead of applying fresh path topping to achieve a consistent and improved finish.
Due to availability, the rotovator was only on-site for a limited window, which means the work currently appears incomplete. However, this is part of a two-stage process.
We are expecting a delivery of fresh path topping within the next 10 days. Once this arrives, the team will complete the work by rolling in the new material, leaving the paths levelled and finished to a much higher standard.
Thank you for your patience in the meantime, and we look forward to completing this improvement shortly.
Curry Night - Saturday 11th April
Following the excellent feedback from our Curry Night in January, we have our next Curry Night taking place on Saturday 11th April. Full details about this are on the poster attached with today's latest news email.
This is also the Saturday of the Masters, so the golf will be shown on the big screen. Please contact the bar staff, or reply to this email if you would like to book a table.
VE Day Celebrations - Friday 8th May
Back by popular demand, last year's VE Day celebrations were very well supported and many members have requested that we repeat the event again this year. We have booked Nigel Smith again to entertain everyone on the day. Full details are on the poster attached with today's latest news email. Please add your name to the table plan on the notice board in the Spike Bar if you would like to attend.
