Captains Drive-In beats the weather (just about)
Welcome to the new Season
Captain Alan Gibson, Lady Captain Sue Bradbury and Seniors’ Captain Alex Stables drove-off after the shotgun start competition on 29th March to announce the start of their years in office in traditional style.
Junior Captain Joe Cooper wisely had a prior engagement.
The Captains Drive-In competition (2 from 4) was won by Chris McIndoe, Leon Cornock, Damien Marlow and Simon Carr who beat Laura des Landes, Sue Bradbury, Venu Singh and Julie Jackson by just 1 point.
The weather forced a change to the normal schedule with 3 very quick drives followed by a run to the Ambassador Suite for breakfast and the presentation of jackets to the new Captains and Vice Captains.
The Captains’ all welcome everyone to the start of the new golfing year.
