Dear Members,

To mark the end of the St Rule Bridge season, 28 ladies attended the club on Monday 30th March for a very enjoyable lunch, followed by play for the Marjory Moncrieff Trophy. The competition was close, but was ultimately won by Mrs Kim Gordon, who was presented with the Marjory Moncrieff salver.

This brought to a close another very enjoyable bridge season. We are indebted to the New Club, whose support enabled us to continue playing bridge during the club renovations.
Over the summer, the plan is to organise monthly “chatty bridge” sessions which will be open to all club members.

It is hoped that when formal bridge recommences at the end of September, we will have access to space on the second floor, which will offer superb views as well as the opportunity for relaxed bridge.
I am also delighted to announce that Avril Auchterlonie has kindly agreed to take over as Bridge Convenor.

Finally, I would like to thank you all for your ongoing support of the Bridge section.
