The first Royal Jersey Junior Competition of the year was played on Sunday 5th April in good conditions. Several juniors were away and unable to play but there were still 21 playing.
9 players scored 36 points or more in the breezy but good conditions.
Ben Carvalho had the lowest gross score with a 76 for his 36 points.
Gus Langan and Jack McFarlane both scored 37, Liam Miller 38, Marley Austin Vautier 39, with Oliver Jost and Benjamin O’Mahony scoring 41 points.
Nicolette Coutanche was playing her first competition after recently becoming a member of the Club and gaining her handicap. She scored 44 points coming second on countback.
Winner of the Marett and Langlois Trophy was Bertie Shelton who played very well in also scoring 44 points. An excellent round and well deserved winner.
