On Monday 27th April a team of 8 Silver A players went over to Royal Guernsey Golf Club for the annual Falle Cup competition.

The team arrived early in preparation for the Foursomes on Monday afternoon.
The course was looking beautiful and the sun was shining but the wind was already blowing!

The pairs had to battle hard on each hole but finally secured a 3 – 1 lead going into the Singles on the Tuesday. One of the highlights of the afternoon being Louise Kirton’s tee shot on the 18th with a 5 hybrid, placing it close to the pin for Helen Gray to putt in for a birdie to win their match.

Tuesday morning saw the wind increase and the sun disappear so conditions were cold and tough for the single matches.
All matches were played off scratch

Our ladies played well and all matches were played in a friendly, happy atmosphere.
Royal Guernsey played steadily and managed to secure a 7 – 5 victory to win the Falle Cup.

The match was followed by a delicious lunch in the club house and time to warm up!

Well done to our team for a super trip away and many thanks to Anne Carolan for all her organisation.
