Both Cups returned to Royal Jersey from La Moye
Blue sky and little wind greeted the 16 Silver and Bronze players to compete for the Langley-Smith Trophy and Bronze Cup held by La Moye.
The pairings were very well matched and although played off 90 % handicap difference, few shots were given or received across the pairings.
After a shotgun start at 845 , the first to walk off the course were the Silver pairs . Emma Aikenhead and Carol Allen winning 8 and 7, swiftly followed by Louise Kirton and Anita Whitnell 4 and 3. The next pair went to the full 18 for one up . The Trophy won! With the last match halved the Royal were convincing winners of the Langley-Smith Trophy.
The Bronze games were tighter and the match was in the balance until the last group walked in 2 up! Well done Janine Stephens and Danielle Alsop. Royal Jersey winning back the Bronze Cup.
All agreed the matches were played in great spirit and in wonderful conditions .
A lovely lunch in the Clubhouse completed a perfect morning .
