Cranworth Victory for the Ladies
Despite horrendous weather conditions yesterday at Aldeburgh our Cranworth team were victorious over Rookery Park by 4 points to 2.
A Heavy hail storm resulted in play being suspended and on recommencement of play The rain continued to fall.
Our two foursomes pairs, Jayne Standen and Janette Hetherton, Andree Bloomfield and Louise Bernasconi brought home 2 points with their resounding victories leaving us 1 and a half points left for victory from the 4 singles matches.
These were hard fought, with Linda Atkins and Kinza Ellis narrowly losing leaving it to Vera Woolnough and Rosemary Woodhouse to bring in the 2 points for our brilliant win.
My congratulations to the team for their win and the enviable team spirit they all displayed in achieving such a good victory.
We now look forward to the next round and the challenge it will bring.
