Evans opened the tournament in strong fashion with a superb first-round 74, placing himself firmly among the leaders. Despite challenging conditions in the second round, where he carded an 80, he remained well in contention heading into the final day.
Evans produced a brilliant final-round 73, a score that was six shots better than any other player in the field during the final round.
