An enjoyable day on 19th May spent staging this year’s Veteran’s Day dodging, in the main, the threatened rain deluge & Thunder Storms – actually, much of the competition was played in sunshine!
The popular winner, appropriately enough, was the oldest in field, Frank Cowen with 37 points who wins the overall Veteran’s Trophy – Many congratulations to Frank
The winner of the Ron Halliley Trophy – the player with the best 9 hole score, was Paul Randall with 22 and for those present they were all delighted to congratulate Paul who was presented with the Trophy by The President. Our thanks to Nigel for Presenting Prizes. Unfortunately, Frank could not be with us for lunch so his photograph had to be taken away from the Clubhouse
