Medal Sign In & Sweep Entry

M&H would like to provide some clarity around medal sign-in and sweep entry.
The new sign-in process carried out by the player using the App or Reception screen is proving to be effective albeit with one or two exceptions. We are seeing an increase in players not entering the sweep competitions whereas they normally would do. Please be aware you must tick both boxes to include yourself into the sweep competitions as failure to do so will exclude you from any prize funds.
Traditionally a player would enter the sweep at check-in with the pro and the player would be entered into the main medal class sweep and the 15th hole 2's sweep. In principle this has not changed. Whilst the automatic player sign-in asks you to tick both boxes the Harburn Golf Club competitions pro-forma charging and scoring spreadsheets do not differentiate between the two, therefore as previously you can either abstain from sweep entry or be entered into both. There is no option to choose which sweep you wish to enter, as in line with many years previously.
