LGC Win Hant's 7's Guernsey Final
For the first time in many-a-year L’Ancresse GC are through to the Channel Island final of the Hampshire 7’s. Played on a glorious Sunday morning around the tricky and unforgiving St Pierre Park Course where home advantage is a significant advantage, the underdogs of LGC reigned supreme and came through narrow winners. Former club Captain Geoff Orme gained the vital fourth win, seeing off StPP Captain Martin Ireland on the very last hole.
Before that, Alex Burns, Jason Warr and Andy Orme had got 3 points on the board for LGC.
Well done to Captain Chris Le Tissier and the winning team. Let’s hope we can get all the way to Hampshire this year. It’s been a while coming.
