May Bank Holiday Open - Results
And The Winners Are...
An amazing day was enjoyed at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club for the Bank Holiday Texas Am, with 34 teams battling through scorching conditions in what proved to be a fantastic day of golf, camaraderie, and competition.
Players were kept fuelled in the heat with welcome refreshments of water and mini doughnuts after nine holes, before everyone relaxed after play with ice-cold pints and cheeseburgers served in the clubhouse.
The scoring throughout the field was exceptional, with several teams producing outstanding rounds and the leaderboards remaining tight right to the finish.
Mixed / Ladies Teams
A superb winning performance came from A. Cook / B. Lane / S. Millichamp / L. Sidwell, whose excellent teamwork and consistency saw them top the standings with an impressive 98 points.
Just two points behind were A. Downie / P. Brain / C. Tomlin / J. Douglas Osborn, who produced a brilliant round of 96 points to secure second place.
Third place went to K. Grieve / A. Grieve / C. Foster / E. Harrison, who also played some tremendous golf in difficult conditions to finish on 94 points.
Non-Mixed Teams
After countback, the honours went to A. Akister / S. Eddies Davies / C. Deignan / D. Eddies-Davies, whose outstanding 98-point haul edged them into first place after a fantastic team effort throughout the day.
Narrowly missing out were T. Ball / S. Foster / S. Evans / M. Thomas, who also posted a tremendous 98 points in one of the closest finishes of the competition.
Third place went to R. Butcher / S. Sutton / R. Davies / M. Lukasevics with an excellent 97 points, while L. Millichip / J. Millichip / J. Owen / A. Staples rounded off the prizes in fourth place with a very respectable 94 points.

Attention now turns to the Anniversary Open in June, celebrating the opening of the course back in 1993 — another memorable occasion to look forward to at the club.
