Course Maintenance & Irrigation Update
As part of our ongoing course maintenance programme, the Greenkeeping Team recently commenced overseeding and topdressing works on the tees. However, due to the continued exceptionally dry weather conditions, we would like to provide members with an update regarding the current irrigation situation.
Unfortunately, the tee irrigation system is presently experiencing technical issues and is not operating as intended. Our team is actively investigating the fault and working to restore full functionality as quickly as possible.
Members should also be aware that a significant leak has been identified on the right-hand side of the 2nd fairway. This issue is affecting the wider irrigation network and contributing to the challenges currently being experienced across the course. The Greenkeeping Team is working hard to locate and repair the problem in order to return the irrigation system to normal operation at the earliest opportunity.
As a result, overseeding and topdressing operations on the tees have been temporarily suspended until the irrigation system is functioning correctly. In the meantime, we will continue to irrigate affected areas wherever possible and supplement this with hand watering as required. If necessary, a water bowser will also be utilised to provide additional support while the irrigation issues are being resolved.
We appreciate members’ patience and understanding while these essential works are undertaken over the coming weeks. Further updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
