Scottish Pairs
In one of the very few competitions where the winner takes all event to entry into the week long Scottish pairs event later this year. Good numbers and not quite as high scoring as normal for a pairs comp. Taking victory with 44pts, very fitting as they are planning to play as a pair in the event anyway. Winners, Lee ‘blondie’ Bailey & Sam ‘Safe hands’ Williams. Nice one lads, I will advise Norman you are to be entered as the winners and you will be entered into the event via the club.

None other more so than our former president and long-standing member, Mark Hallam. Nett 68, top bombing bomber ha ha. Division 2 winner went to Josh Sutton with nett 71 on cpo. Bentley Cup major
Great numbers in this event, our first major off the 151 tees. Numbers have increased in these 151 events of the years since we switched to Stableford from medal. As it's a major and honours board competition you must have played in 3 qualifying competitions at WPGC in the last 12 months and have 20 scores on your WHS to be eligible to win a prize. Unfortunately, the top 2 players did not qualify to win the prize, therefore as per the rules the next position that qualifies wins the event.
Congratulations to Pete Jackson, with 37pts on cpo. Nice one Pete, you're in most comps every week and you have managed to scoop a big one here, name onto the board sir. The top 3 came in with 37pts. Unlucky to my mate Eddy Sterling in 2nd and Big Pat Duggan in 3rd with the same score. 4th went to Nicky Lea with 36pts, playing some good golf at the min mate, keep it up. 5th was Dave Sherwin also with 36pts.
Rich Pullar finished top, with Luke Wilkes in 2nd. Get them comps in boys, hard for newer members but as soon you get them in your good for all competitions then.
