The Chequers Plate & Salver took place over the weekend of 6th & 7th June, attracting an excellent field of 119 competitors – the largest entry we have seen for several years.

In the Chequers Plate (Nett), Owen Emmington-Thomas claimed victory with rounds of 71 and 69 for a 140 total, edging out defending champion Alex Wilkinson on countback after Alex also finished on 140 with scores of 69 and 71.

The Chequers Salver (Gross) was equally closely contested, with Greg Smith taking the title after rounds of 74 and 72 for a 146 total. Once again, Alex Wilkinson finished runner-up on countback, matching the winning total of 146 with rounds of 72 and 74.

Congratulations to Owen and Greg on their victories, and a special mention to Alex Wilkinson, who came agonisingly close to retaining both trophies after winning the Chequers Plate and Salver in 2025.
