New Club Manager Announcement
Welcome to Jakob

Dear Members,

The Council is pleased to announce that Jakob Dalland has accepted our offer to become the full time Club Manager at Dundas Parks Golf Club. Jakob will take up the role at the beginning of July, allowing for a significant handover period before Stuart fully retires at the end of August.

Following a structured recruitment process earlier this year, three external candidates were shortlisted. Any one of them could potentially have been appointed as our new Club Manager. However, after meeting with Jakob, he stood out as the candidate who best combined operational capability, digital skills, and a deep understanding of the club's culture, values, and ambitions.

Some of you may already have met Jakob through his volunteering within the club — supporting the Junior Coaching Programme and contributing to the House Volunteers team. Having recently completed a Sports Management degree, Jakob represents exactly the kind of local young talent a community club like ours aims to support and develop. As part of his progression into this role, the club will also be investing in his continued professional development, including recognised Golf Club Management qualifications.

Jakob has shared the following message with members:

“I’m delighted to have been appointed as the new Club Manager. From learning to play at the Thursday coaching sessions, to volunteering within the club, and now coaching my own group, Dundas has played a huge part in my life. Being able to step into this role feels incredibly special.

I’m excited to work with the Council and with all of you to continue the positive momentum we’ve built together. My door will always be open — please feel free to pop in for a chat or send a message any time.”

We look forward to welcoming Jakob into the role and supporting him as he begins this important new chapter with the club.

Regards
Colin McRoberts
