Anne Stokes Secures win in Ladies Medal
Anne Stokes claimed the win in the ladies medal yesterday with great consistency across 18 holes. Carding a gross 84 for an overall Nett 69 and breaking par.
Leading with a Nett 35 on the front nine, and shooting a Nett 34 on the back nine to seal the top spot.
There was a count-back for second place, with two players finishing locked on a Nett 71.
Annie Leitch claimed 2nd place thanks to an excellent back-nine. After a 39 front nine, Annie came back in Nett 32—the lowest back-nine score of the day.
Aileen Kennedy took 3rd place after the countback, and the lowest gross score putting together an incredibly polished round of gross 82 (Nett 36 out, Nett 35 in).
