Men’s Captain’s Day on Sunday commenced at 5.50am, with a men’s singles stableford competition with 127 players competing. The players enjoyed perfect golfing conditions with pleasant temperatures and light winds. Everyone enjoyed a barbeque at the halfway house served by the Ladies Section. The Prize winners were: Division I - Winner ~ Joe Rennicks (39 pts); Runner Up ~ Ross Isbister (38 pts); Division II - Winner ~ Nicholas Smith (48 pts); Runner Up ~ Andrew Morris (44 pts); Division III - Winner ~ Richard Payne (44 pts); Runner Up ~ Rob McKellar (42 pts) Men’s Captain’s Prizes for Juniors and Ladies Prize were played earlier in the week. The winners were: Captain’s Prize for Ladies: Winner – Antonia Kennedy 43 pts, 2nd Prize – Naomi Pilmer 42 pts, 3rd Prize – Teresa Dalkin 41 pts c/b. Juniors - Winner ~ Finlay Payne - 37 pts, 2nd Prize – Frazer Trinh These prizes were presented to the winners by Past Captain, Richard Douglas, James and this was followed by the presentation to the trophy winners for the year by the President, Andy Wylie. These included (major competitions): Baines Bronzes – Kenny Egan & Ray Cawston, Bullough Cup – Graham Hurrell, Mixed Foursomes – Nick & Mary Yates, Jubilee Bowl – Jenny Horsfield. 130 members and their families attended the prizegiving and this was followed by afternoon tea served by the Board in the marquee.
