On a pleasantly warm summer day, 198 “Seniors” participated in the Balmore Senior Gents Pairs Open. Derek Miller (Glenbervie) and Campbell Sarrison (Palacerigg) were the Winners of the DH Russell Trophy with an excellent return of 44 Pts. They finished ahead of Phil Souter and Brian Ferguson (both Balmore) who also scored 44 Pts, had the same total for the last 9 holes but lost out on the basis of the last 6 holes. Also on 44 points were Duncan Garry (Cawder) and Paul Kelly (Bishopnriggs) who only finished behind Phil and Brian on the basis of last 9 holes.
