To Vince Potts on winning the prestigious Sydney Camm trophy, played on 4th and 5th July. Vince netted 76 points over the two days.
Sir Sydney Camm, the legendary aeronautical designer of the Hawker Hurricane, was a prominent and active member of the Surbiton Golf Club. He lived locally in Thames Ditton and is honored by the club annually with the "Sir Sydney Camm Trophy," a 36-hole club competition.
