The greenkeepers have been keeping busy this week.
A wetting agent has been added to the greens to help them retain moisture. This is really important in times of extreme heat like we are experiencing right now.
The bunkers have also had a top-up of sand to give a much cleaner and consistent depth. The bunkers are very dry at the moment. Remember to strike as close to the ball as possible, taking a consistent depth of sand. Do not just dig into it.
The greens have had an overseeding in areas where the poa grass has burnt up. This has been seeded with pure bent grass to try to make the areas more drought resilient.
