Message from Club Committee
Update
Dear Members, Following an increase in non-returns during club competitions, the Competitions and Handicap Committee would like to issue an important reminder regarding the submission of scorecards for all club competitions. Under the Rules of Handicapping, it is a fundamental requirement that all acceptable scores in organised competitions must be returned immediately upon completion of your round. This applies to every competition round, including "No Returns" or instances where a player fails to complete the round. Walking off the course and failing to submit your card prevents the system from accurately calculating daily course conditions and can lead to the artificial inflation of a player’s handicap index. Failure to submit your score will result in the following actions: First Instance: A formal written warning will be issued, along with an explanation of why the score is required Persistent Non-Submission: Repeated failure to submit your score will be reviewed by the Handicap Committee and may result in the suspension of your handicap and an immediate ban from entering future club competitions. How to submit your scores: To ensure your score is processed correctly, please ensure that you sign in before play, verify your hole-by-hole scores with your marker, and return your card as soon as possible after your round. You can submit your scores in the clubhouse via the PSI Terminal, through the HowDidiDo Platform, or directly on the My England Golf App. If you have to withdraw due to injury, illness, or another valid emergency, please notify the Pro Shop or a member of the Handicap Committee before leaving the club premises. Thank you for your cooperation and your commitment to maintaining the integrity of golf and the handicap system at our club. Yours sincerely, Mark Hyland: Club Captain Greg Hester: Handicap Secretary CMGC
