The Gun Hill Cup competition is an annual event held at Southwold Golf Club. Ten teams from clubs around Norfolk and Suffolk are invited to participate in teams of four consisting of two juniors and two experienced adults, playing both an individual, and a team 18 hole stableford. Gorleston is delighted to have been invited to enter a team for the last four years. On Saturday, 8 August 2026, we were represented at Southwold, by our Junior Scratch Champion Luca Devine-Rushbrooke, who was joined by Tony Marsham and our Junior Handicap Champion Harry Page, who was joined by his grandfather Paul Dashwood. The team had a successful day, achieving second place in the competition and, as a result, were awarded the fabulous amount of £400 for our Junior Section at Gorleston Golf Club. Well done team Gorleston. Congratulations to Luca who managed to secure three of the ‘nearest the pin’ prizes. What an achievement! The team had a superb day, so proud of you!
