66 Wins Individual Event
Links members Mark Conen, John Leighton and Tony Brown with their professional, Brandon Meads (Billericay Golf) won the Links Pro-Am on Thursday 13th August. The team had a fantastic score of 97 points (25 under par) in the two scores from four format beating 31 other teams.
In the individual Professional competition, Brandon also won with a superb six under par 66. The round included seven birdies and an eagle. Mark Talbott from Upminster Golf Club was victorious with a 6 under par 66, which included 7 birdies and just the one bogey. Brandon was one shot clear of Harry Casey (The Shire) and Neil Mitchell (Thetford) who scored five under par 67’s. A great day was had with special thanks to the green staff for the condition of the golf course and the F&B team for keeping everyone fed and watered.
