Hawkstone Park Golf Club was delighted to welcome ladies and their guests for the Ladies Invitation Day on Monday 24th August. A huge thank you goes to Lady Captain Liz Dutton for organising such a tremendous day. The extra touches, including a snack and water on the first tee, a reception drink before dinner and a fantastic prize table, all helped make the event particularly special. The ladies enjoyed playing the fabulous Hawkstone Course in beautiful weather, which was reflected in some brilliant scoring in the 4BBB competition. Congratulations to the overall winners, Helen Apperley and Val Plant from Church Stretton, who produced an outstanding score of 50 points. Following the golf, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal served in the hotel. Our thanks go to the chefs and hotel staff for their excellent service, as well as to our greenkeeping team for presenting the course in such fantastic condition. Thanks also go to Competition Secretary and LVC Sarah Wynn for her support in making the day such a success. Congratulations to all the prize winners. A special mention goes to Nicky Coggins, who won Nearest the Pin on the 12th hole. A fantastic day was enjoyed by everyone, and a wonderful reflection of the friendship and spirit of the ladies at Hawkstone Park. Well done to all who took part, and a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 Ladies Invitation Day such a memorable occasion.
