Many of the fifty-seven juniors registered as members have been active on the golf course during the school holidays. They have been playing their own rounds with friends and family or getting involved in three organised Roll Ups, which allowed them to fill in cards to get a handicap and to get their existing handicap down. August ended with the largest quantity of rain for the past three months at the Summer Golf Camp led by resident coach Tom Metcalfe. Fourteen lads stayed out in the inclement weather honing their chipping and pitching skills, their short and long irons and enjoying a Texas scramble on the course. Thanks to Nick Lea for all his help on the day. Also, to Lee Bailey, Dave Hurst, Ray Cornwall and President Paul Price for supporting the juniors. Forthcoming events for Juniors: Saturday afternoon 9-hole Roll ups in September and October, a match between Gents, Ladies, Juniors and Seniors in October half term and the 2027 Junior calendar of events will be out by the end of November.
